Kaitlin Mason is a Canadian artist, whose work in her ongoing series “Entities” investigates the vacancy of human presence within a purposely arranged garment. "I often refer to my scarf works as “entities” as I feel they are often representational of the ambiguous human figure. The delicacy of the materials creates a feminine sensibility expressing the carefully constructed and scrutinized images we portray to society as women. They are distinct, independent and self contained beings.”
Mason attended and completed her Fine Arts Diploma with distinction at Georgian College in Barrie Ontario, and received the Barrie Art club Scholarship in 2012. She graduated from NSCAD University in Halifax Nova Scotia with her BFA in 2013, and is a recently elected member of the Ontario Society of Artists. Mason continues to exhibit in juried shows and art fairs across the GTA, and has work in several private collections across North America.
